The act of remembrance was livestreamed from the Flossen- bürg Memorial in German and English. A few days later, the recording was also made available in Polish, Czech, Italian, Hebrew, Ukrainian, Russian and French. On 23 April – exactly 76 years after the camp’s liberation – the Flossenbürg Memo- rial kicked off the commemoration by launching the website “Live On”, which features eight short films documenting the lives of survivors after their imprisonment. The biographies represent the experiences of all survivors of the Flossenbürg concentration camp, offering insight into their efforts to rebuild their lives, the hardships they faced and their strug- gle for recognition. They tell stories of trauma, loss and new beginnings, wounds and healing, testimony and silence – each one illustrating that life after liberation was never easy.
