66   ALBUM 2023 | IMPRESSIONS 2023 ©Flossenbürg Memorial ©StMUK S E P T E M B E R Federal Cross of Merit for Ernst Grube Holocaust survivor Ernst Grube, President of Lagergemeinschaft Dachau e.V. and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bavarian Memorial Foundation, was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany on 22 September. The award recognised his many decades of commitment to remembrance culture and rec- onciliation. It was presented to him in Munich by Prof. Michael Piazolo, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Foundation Council. S E P T E M B E R Research Stories: Flossenbürg Memorial In September, the Flossenbürg Memorial launched the website “Research Stories. Tracing the Stories of Concentration Camp Prisoners”. The digital project offers insights into ongoing research on the indi- vidual fates of concentration camp prisoners and is available in multi- ple languages. In spring 2024, the project received the DigAMus Award from the German Museums Association in the main category “Website or Online Exhibition”.
