I hope everyone listens carefully”, said Abba Naor at the premiere. On 17 October, the art film Father- Land-Scape, dedicated to Holocaust survivor Abba Naor, premiered at the Bavarian State Parliament. Cre- ated by Dachau artist Esther Glück, the stop-motion film combines drawings, etchings and anima- tion. Divided into nine chapters, it retraces Naor’s life during the Nazi era. Tom Gottschalk was responsible for cinematography and editing, while Elena Rachelis oversaw the musical direction of the accompa- nying pieces. The project, funded by the FRISTO Foundation, received a standing ovation from the audience. The Bavarian Memorial Foundation was involved as a project partner. The film and additional materials are available free of charge for educational institutions to down- load from the foundation’s website.
