IMPRESSIONS | ALBUM 2025 31 ©Bavarian Memorial Foundation ©Dachau Memorial J U L Y St. Wenceslas Medal for Karl Freller During his visit to the Dachau Memorial in July, Czech Cardinal Dominik Jaroslav Duka, Emeritus Archbishop of Prague, presented Karl Freller with a St.Wenceslas Medal in recognition of his services to the remembrance of the victims of National Socialism. This rarely awarded ecclesiastical medal was created to mark the reopening of the St.Wenceslas Basilica. Cardinal Duka was accompanied by Dr Ivana Č ervenková, Consul Gener- al of the Czech Republic in Munich. J U L Y KMK President visits the Dachau Memorial In July, the Dachau Memorial was visited by Simone Oldenburg, in- cumbent President of the Standing Conference of Ministers of Educa- tion and Cultural Affairs (KMK) and Minister for Education and Early Childhood Development in Meck- lenburg-Western Pomerania. The discussions during the visit focused on local educational programmes and the upcoming redesign of the Dachau Memorial.
