That is why it is important for us to visit schools. And that is why I look to the future with confidence: because our students – like each and every one of us – do not take democracy for granted, but defend it day after day. Democracy must be lived and upheld every single day. That is the Foundation’s mission. That is our parliamentarians’ mission. And that is the mission that defines us as democrats: to defend democracy with all that we have. Thank you.
