IMPRESSIONS | ALBUM 2020 109 ©Dachau Memorial S e p t e m b e r Tactile model unveiled at the Dachau Memorial On 8 September, the Dachau Memo- rial presented a new tactile model at the visitor centre. Designed to be fully accessible, the model allows visitors to explore the size and layout of the former concentration camp and today’s memorial site through sight and touch. The tactile model was unveiled by Marese Hoffmann (Member of the District Council), Karl Freller (Director of the Bavarian Memorial Foundation), KarolineWirth (Edu- cation Officer, Dachau Memorial), Dr Gabriele Hammermann (Director of the Dachau Memorial), Holger Kiesel (Bavarian Commissioner for People with Disabilities) and Gregor Strutz (Managing Director of inkl.Design GmbH).
