In conver- sation with Karl Freller (Director of the Bavarian Memorial Foundation) and Prof. Jörg Skriebeleit (Director of the Flossenbürg Memorial), she paid tribute to the American liberators of the camp and reaffirmed the impor- tance of transatlantic remembrance culture. S e p t e m b e r Bavarian Civil Servants’ Association visits the Dachau Memorial On 17 September, the Executive Board of the Bavarian Civil Servants’ Association (BBB) accepted an invi- tation to visit the Dachau Memorial. BBB Chairman Rainer Nachtigall emphasised the fact that civil serv- ants, as representatives of the state, are responsible for maintaining a vibrant culture of remembrance. The Executive Board laid a wreath at the International Memorial.
