ACT OF REMEMBRANCE IN PASSAU | ALBUM 2020 103 J a n u a r y Act of remembrance in Passau On 24 January, the act of remembrance for the victims of National Socialism was held in a trinational format for the first time. The event was hosted by the University of Passau in its main lecture theatre and featured speeches by Ilse Aigner (President of the Bavarian State Parliament), Karl Freller (Director of the Bavarian Memorial Foundation), Viktor Sigl (President of the Upper Austrian Parliament), Radek Vondrá č ek (President of the Czech Parliament) and Dr Josef Schuster (President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany). Numerous guests were in attendance, including survivors from several nations. Some of the most poignant moments came when Anna Hackl and Bohumila Havránková offered their personal testimonies. The event was broadcast live on Bavarian television.
